Ingredients list for Peas Crusted Chicken

  • 400 grams Chicken sliced
  • 1/2 cup Masala peas
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste White pepper powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Wasabi paste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/2 cup Masala chana
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Place chicken slices in a bowl, add salt, pepper powder, chilli flakes, Wasabi paste, lemon juice, egg and refined flour and mix well. Set aside for ten to fifteen minutes to marinate.
  2. Grind masala peas and masala chana to a coarse powder and transfer into a plate.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  4. Add the breadcrumbs to ground powder and mix well.
  5. Coat the marinated chicken slices with the ground powder evenly and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot.
