Ingredients list for Pav Bhaji Buns with Cheese
- 4 Pavs
- 4 Cheese slices
- 4 teaspoons Oil
- 3 medium Onions chopped
- 6 tablespoons Butter
- 3 tablespoons Pav bhaji masala
- 3 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 cups Tomato puree
- 6 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 4 grams coriander sprig
Method
- Heat oil in non stick pan. Add onions and sauté till light golden.
- Add 4 tbsps butter, mix well and sauté till onions are soft. Heat another non stick pan. Slit pavs from the top and place on pan. Cook till crisp on both sides.
- Add pav bhaji masala to the first pan and mix well. Add ginger-garlic paste, tomato puree, potatoes and ½ cup water. Mix well and cook till thick.
- Add salt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and remaining butter and mix well and remove from heat.
- Fold cheese slices. Fill each pav with bhaji and place a cheese slice on one side of each pav, serve garnished with a coriander sprig. Serve immediately.
