By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update " frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> Main Ingredients Paneer (cottage cheese), Button mushrooms Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Paneer and Mushroom Sandwich ½ cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated 10-15 Button mushrooms sliced 8 Brown bread slices as required Butter 1 teaspoon + 7-8 Garlic cloves chopped ½ teaspoon Red chilli flakes to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Mixed herbs to taste Crushed black peppercorns Method Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté on medium heat for 2 minutes. Add red chilli flakes, mushrooms, salt, herbs and crushed peppercorns and mix well. Reduce heat and cook till the mushrooms are well done. Transfer into a bowl. Add cottage cheese and mix well. Heat a sandwich griller. Spread a spoonful of butter onto 4 bread slices. Place a portion of the cooked cottage cheese-mushroom mixture on top and spread. Cover with remaining bread slices and spread some more butter on top of the sandwiches. Place the sandwiches on the griller, cover and grill till grill marks appear on both sides. Cut into triangles and serve hot.
