Ingredients list for Paneer Corndog - SK Khazana

  • 500 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into 4 inch thick strips
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 3 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika powder
  • a pinch Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Buttermilk
  • to serve Mustard sauce
  • to serve Tomato ketchup


  1. Put corn meal in a jar, add refined flour, paprika, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix well.
  2. Add buttermilk and mix well to form a thick batter.
  3. Insert a satay stick in the center of each cottage cheese strip.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a wok. , Dip each cottage cheese strip in the batter and slide into the hot oil. Deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Arrange them in a serving bowl and serve hot with mustard sauce and tomato ketchup.
