Ingredients
- 500 grams paneer (cottage cheese), cut into 4-inch thick strips
 - 1 cup cornmeal
 - 3 tablespoons refined flour (maida)
 - ¼ teaspoon paprika powder
 - A pinch of baking soda
 - ¼ teaspoon baking powder
 - Salt to taste
 - 1½ cups buttermilk
 - Mustard sauce to serve
 - Tomato ketchup to serve
 
Method
- Put cornmeal in a jar, add refined flour, paprika, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix well.
 - Add buttermilk and mix well to form a thick batter.
 - Insert a satay stick in the center of each cottage cheese strip.
 - Heat sufficient oil in a wok. , Dip each cottage cheese strip in the batter and slide it into the hot oil. Deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
 - Arrange them in a serving bowl and serve hot with mustard sauce and tomato ketchup.
