Ingredients list for Pan Fried Mushrooms

  • 20-24 Button mushrooms quartered
  • 1/2 cup Porcini mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Oyster mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 3 Garlic crushed
  • 2 medium Onions cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 small Red capsicum cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 small Yellow capsicum cut into 1/2 inch pieces

Method

  1. Soak the porcini and oyster mushrooms in lukewarm water for twenty minutes. Drain. Wash well and set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan. Add the button mushrooms and garlic and sauté over medium heat.
  3. Add the porcini and oyster mushrooms and stir-fry for a minute.
  4. Add the onions, salt, black pepper powder, mixed dried herbs and soy sauce and stir-fry on high heat for a minute.
  5. Add the red chilli sauce, vinegar, red capsicum and yellow capsicum and toss.
  6. Sauté for further two minutes. Remove from heat and serve hot.
