Ingredients list for Pachole
- 3 cups Corn kernels
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
- 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch
- to taste Salt
- for greasing Oil
Method
- Coarsely grind corn kernels and put into a bowl.
- Add garam masala powder, ginger-green chilli-garlic paste, gram flour, cornflour and salt.
- Heat sufficient water in a steamer.
- Grease a plate with oil, put the corn mixture on it and spread evenly.
- Steam for fifteen to twenty minutes or till done.
- Cool and cut into squares. These are called pacholes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick tawa.
- Place the pacholes on it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden brown from both the sides.
- Serve hot.
