Ingredients list for Mushroom Pulao
- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 24 Button Mushrooms sliced
- 2 tablespoon Green cardamoms
- 4 Cloves
- 12 inch sticks Cinnamon
- 1 Star anise
- 1 medium Onion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 2-3 Green chillies, sliced
- 1 medium Tomato, chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup Coconut milk
- 1/2 cup Coriander and mint chutney, chopped
Method
- In a pressure cooker heat butter, add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, star anise and saute well till fragrant.
- Add rice and saute well for a minute. Add onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and tomatoes. Mix well. Add mushrooms and saute again.
- Add salt, coconut milk, water and chopped mint and coriander leaves. Mix well. Allow it to cook till three whistles.
