Ingredients list for Mushroom Peas Pulao - SK Khazana

  • 10-12 Button mushrooms quartered
  • 1/2 cup Frozen green peas
  • 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice washed and soaked
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 7-8 Black peppercorns
  • 1 Large onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 cups Vegetable stock
  • to taste Salt
  • to garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add bay leaf and peppercorns and sauté till fragrant. Add onion and ginger-garlic paste and sauté till onion is golden brown in colour.
  2. Add mushrooms, mix well and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add rice, mix and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add peas and mix. Add vegetable stock and salt and mix well. When the mixture comes to a boil, cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes or till rice is done.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
