Ingredients list for Mug Cake

  • 12Vanilla tablespoons Milk
  • 4 teaspoons Vanilla essence
  • 4 tablespoons Oil
  • 4 tablespoons Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 8 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 16 tablespoons Refined flour
  • 6 tablespoons Castor sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • for dusting Icing sugar


  1. For each portion, put 3 tbsps milk in a mug, add 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp chocolate hazelnut spread and mix well.
  2. Add 2 tbsps cocoa powder, 4 tbsps refined flour, 1½ tbsps castor sugar, salt and ½ tsp baking powder and mix till well combined.
  3. Keep the mugs in the microwave and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Take the mugs out, dust with icing sugar and serve immediately.
