Ingredients
- 250 grams mozzarella cheese, cut into thick fingers
- ½ cup refined flour (maida)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- ½ cup crushed cornflakes
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon fresh mixed herbs
- 2 eggs
- Oil for deep-frying
Method
- Mix together refined flour, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and crushed peppercorns on a plate.
- Mix together cornflakes, panko breadcrumbs, salt, crushed peppercorns and fresh mixed herbs on another plate.
- Break eggs in a bowl. Add salt and crushed peppercorns and beat well.
- Coat mozzarella fingers in flour mixture, dip in beaten egg mixture and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Put the prepared mozzarella fingers and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
