Ingredients
- 1 cup whole green gram (sabut moong), soaked, boiled
- 8 brown bread slices
- 1 medium onion
- 3 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons chaat masala
- 1 tablespoon pav bhaji masala
- Coriander-mint chutney, as required
- Butter to cook
- 1 medium onion, cut into thin roundels, layers separated
Method
- Chop onion finely and put into a bowl and add green gram. Crush boiled potatoes and add.
- Add salt, chaat masala and pav bhaji masala and mix well mashing slightly.
- Apply coriander-mint chutney on all the bread slices. Spread gram mixture generously on 4 slices and cover them with the remaining.
Apply a little butter on outer sides of the sandwiches. - Grease a sandwich toaster with butter or oil or ghee, place a sandwich in it, close and cook on medium heat, turning sides till both sides are golden.
- Cut into 2 triangles, arrange on serving plate, garnish with onion rings and serve hot.
