Ingredients list for Moong Fingers

  • 1/2 cup Split green gram skinless soaked
  • 8 slices Bread Slices
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste
  • to taste Salt
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Drain moong dal, add one cup of fresh water and boil till just done. Drain extra water, if any and mash the dal when still hot. Set aside to cool.
  2. Dry grind the bread slices and add to the dal along with onion, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, garam masala power, ginger-green chilli paste and salt. Mix well.
  3. Divide into equal portions and shape each portion into a finger. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the fingers till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with green chutney.
