Ingredients for Moong Fingers Recipe

  • Split green gram skinless soaked 1/2 cup

  • Bread Slices 8 slices

  • Onion finely chopped 1 small

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Ginger-green chilli paste 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to deep fry


Step 1

Drain moong dal, add one cup of fresh water and boil till just done. Drain extra water, if any and mash the dal when still hot. Set aside to cool.

Step 2

Dry grind the bread slices and add to the dal along with onion, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, garam masala power, ginger-green chilli paste and salt. Mix well.

Step 3

Divide into equal portions and shape each portion into a finger. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the fingers till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with green chutney.
