Ingredients list for Moong Dal Pizza

  • 1 1/2 cups Split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal) soaked overnight and drained
  • 1/2 inch Ginger chopped
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 pinch Baking powder
  • for drizzling Oil
  • as required Pizza sauce
  • as required Mixed capsicum dices
  • as required Sweetcorn kernels blanched
  • as required Onion dices
  • as required Mushrooms sliced
  • as required Jalapeno sliced
  • as required Mozzarella cheese grated
  • to garnish Red chilli flakes
  • to sprinkle Dried oregano


  1. Put split green grams in a blender jar, add ginger, green chillies, salt and sufficient water and blend to a smooth batter.
  2. Transfer the batter into a bowl, add a pinch of baking powder and mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan, pour a ladle of batter and spread it evenly to a thick pancake. Drizzle a little oil all around and cook till the underside is a light golden. Flip the pancake and drizzle oil all around, apply some pizza sauce, add sprinkle some coloured capsicums, some sweetcorn kernels, some onion, some mushrooms and some jalapeno slices. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, cover and cook till the cheese melts. Make more pizzas similarly.
  4. Transfer each pizza onto a separate serving plate, garnish with red chilli flakes and dried oregano and serve hot.
