Ingredients list for Mithoo Dahi
- 4 cups Sugar
 - 1/2 cup Yogurt
 - 1 tablespoon Gelatin
 - 1 tablespoon Yogurt
 - a pinch Nutmeg powder
 - a pinch Green cardamom powder
 - a few drops Vanilla essence
 - a few strands Saffron (kesar)
 
Method
- Heat milk in a thick-bottomed pan and bring to a boil. Add sugar, reduce heat and simmer for eight to ten minutes. Mix gelatine in one-fourth cup of warm water and stir till dissolved. Keep aside.
 - Remove reduced milk from heat and allow to cool a little. Add gelatine and stir to mix well. Add yogurt, nutmeg powder, cardamom powder and vanilla essence and stir again while the milk is still warm.
 - Transfer in a serving bowl or an earthenware pot, sprinkle saffron, do not stir and allow to set overnight. Serve chilled.
