Ingredients list for Microwave Masale Bhat

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2 teaspoons Goda masala
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • a pinch Turmeric powder
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 medium Potato chopped
  • 1/4 cup Green peas
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • for garnish Coconut scraped


  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds, turmeric powder and hing and saute for a minute.
  2. Add chopped potatoes, green peas, godha masala and rice and saute for a minute.
  3. Put the mixture in a microwave bowl and cook in the microwave on HIGH for fifteen minutes.Serve hot garnished with coriander and coconut.
