Ingredients list for Methi Rice
- 2 teaspoons Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- 2 cups Rice soaked
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 2 Whole red chillies stemmed and broken
- 1 Onion sliced
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- to taste Salt
- 1 cup Butter milk
Method
- Soak the fenugreek seeds for 15 minute.
- Heat the ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add fenugreek seeds and broken red chillies.
- Now add onion slices and sauté till they are soft, then add black pepper, salt, rice, butter milk and 2 cups water, cook till done.
- Serve hot with raita.
