Ingredients list for Maple Oatmeal Cookies
- ¼ cup Maple syrup
- 3 cups Rolled oats
- 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
- ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
- ¾ cup Butter at room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar/jaggery
- ½ cup Granulated sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon Sea salt fine
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with a parchment paper.
- Mix together oats, flour and baking soda in a bowl.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl till pale and fluffy. Add maple syrup, egg, vanilla essence, sea salt and ¼ cup water and beat till well combined. Add the oats-flour mixture and mix well to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and place them on the lined tray. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or till the edges turn golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.
- Serve or store in an airtight container (The cookies stay upto 1 week).
