Ingredients list for Maple Oatmeal Cookies

  • ¼ cup Maple syrup
  • 3 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ¾ cup Butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar/jaggery
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt fine


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with a parchment paper.
  2. Mix together oats, flour and baking soda in a bowl.
  3. Cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl till pale and fluffy. Add maple syrup, egg, vanilla essence, sea salt and ¼ cup water and beat till well combined. Add the oats-flour mixture and mix well to form a dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and place them on the lined tray. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or till the edges turn golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.
  5. Serve or store in an airtight container (The cookies stay upto 1 week).
