Ingredients list for Mango Poriyal

  • 2 Mangoes, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 4-5 Curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  2. When it starts spluttering add curry leaves and mangoes ,red chilli powder, salt and saute for two minutes.
  3. Add two tablespoons water and cover with a lid and let it simmer for five minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and rotis.
