Ingredients list for Malvani Fish Fry - SK Khazana

  • 4 King fish darnes
  • 1 teaspoon Malvani masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons Tamarind pulp
  • to taste Salt
  • for coating Semolin
  • to shallow fry Oil
  • to garnish Lemon slices
  • to garnish Fresh coriander sprigs

Method

  1. Take garlic paste in a bowl, add malvani masala powder, turmeric powder, tamarind pulp and salt and mix well.
  2. Apply this mixture on both sides of the fish darnes and set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Take semolina in a plate, place the fish darnes in it and coat both the sides of darnes well.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, place the fish darnes in it and shallow fry, turning sides till golden brown on both the sides. Transfer onto a serving plate.
  5. Garnish with lemon slices and coriander sprigs and serve hot.
