Ingredients
- 4 Kingfish darnes
- 1 teaspoon Malvani masala powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons tamarind pulp
- Salt to taste
- Semolina for coating
- Oil to shallow fry
- Lemon slices to garnish
- Fresh coriander sprigs to garnish
Method
- Take garlic paste in a bowl, add malvani masala powder, turmeric powder, tamarind pulp and salt and mix well.
- Apply this mixture on both sides of the fish darnes and set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Take semolina on a plate, place the fish darnes in it and coat both sides of the darnes well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, place the fish darnes in it and shallow fry, turning sides till golden brown on both sides. Transfer onto a serving plate.
- Garnish with lemon slices and coriander sprigs and serve hot.
