Ingredients list for Lal Gosht
- 750 grams Mutton on bones pressure cooked
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 3-4 Bay leaves
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 3-4 Dried red chillies
- 6-8 Green cardamoms
- 1 Blade mace
- 6-8 Cloves
- 400 grams Onions sliced
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 3-4 tablespoons Rajasthani lehsun apple chutney
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, dried red chillies, cardamoms, blade mace and cloves and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add cooked mutton and lehsun apple chutney and mix. Add 1½-2 cups water, mix, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Add salt, cover and cook till done.
- Serve hot.
