Ingredients for Khuskhus Halwa Recipe

  • Poppy Seeds soaked overnight 1 cup

  • Ghee

  • Ghee 4 tablespoons

  • Milk 2 cups

  • Cashewnuts 1/4 cup

  • Almonds 1/4 cup

  • Pistachios 1/4 cup

  • Diet sugar 3 tablespoons

  • Almonds fried a few

  • Cashewnuts fried a few

Method

Step 1

Drain the poppy seeds and grind with very little water to a thick paste. Heat ghee in a non stick pan, add poppy seed paste and saute for about 12-15 minutes or till it turns a light brown.

Step 2

Reduce heat and add milk and cook, stirring continuously, till it begins to thicken. Add chopped nuts and mix well. Add diet sugar and mix well.

Step 3

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with fried almonds and cashewnuts and serve hot.
