Ingredients list for Karwari Coconut Prawn Dry
- 1 cup Prawns (medium) shelled and deveined
- Scraped coconut ½ cup + for garnish
- 4 Dried red chillies
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Oil
Method
- Take prawns in a large bowl. Add salt and turmeric powder and keep aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
- Take coconut and red chillies in a mixer jar. Add sufficient water and grind to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add onions and sauté till translucent.
- Add ground paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add prawns and cook for 5-10 minutes or till prawns are well cooked.
- Transfer into a serving dish garnish with coconut and serve hot.
