Ingredients list for Instant Sevaiya Kheer
- 1/2 cup Vermicelli (sevian) , coarsely crushed
- 1 litre Milk
- 12-14 + for garnish Almonds
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 1/2 cup Condensed milk
- a pinch Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Roughly chop almonds.
- Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add vermicelli and saute on high heat, stirring continuously, for 2-3 minutes.
- Add almonds, mix and sauté for 30 seconds. Add 3 cups milk, mix, reduce heat, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add condensed milk and mix well. Add salt and green cardamom powder, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer into individual serving bowls, garnish each bowl with a almond and serve warm.
