Ingredients for Instant Sevaiya Kheer Recipe

  • Vermicelli (sevian) , coarsely crushed 1/2 cup

  • Milk 1 litre

  • Almonds 12-14 + for garnish

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Condensed milk 1/2 cup

  • Salt a pinch

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon


Step 1

Roughly chop almonds.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add vermicelli and saute on high heat, stirring continuously, for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add almonds, mix and sauté for 30 seconds. Add 3 cups milk, mix, reduce heat, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Add condensed milk and mix well. Add salt and green cardamom powder, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 5

Transfer into individual serving bowls, garnish each bowl with a almond and serve warm.
