Ingredients list for Hulianna Masala-SK Khazana
- 1/4 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
- 2 tablespoons Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
- 4 Green cardamoms
- 4-5 Cloves
- 1 inch Cinnamon broken
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- 4-5 Dried red chillies
Method
- Dry roast Bengal gram and black gram, one by one, till browned. Transfer into a bowl.
- In the same pan, dry roast cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and roast for 2 minutes. Add dried red chillies and roast till fragrant. Transfer into the same bowl.
- Mix and let them cool down to room temperature.
- Transfer the mixture into a grinder jar and grind to a coarse powder.
- Cool completely and store in an airtight container to use as required.
