Ingredients list for Healthy Uttappam

  • 1 cup Oats , roasted and powdered
  • 1 cup Dosa batter
  • 1/2 cup Mixed sprouts
  • 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
  • 1 small Tomato , finely chopped
  • 1 Green chilli , finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to grease Oil


  1. Take oats in a bowl, add dosa batter, salt and 3-4 tablespoons water and whisk well to get a smooth batter.
  2. Take the sprouts in another bowl, add onions, tomato, green chillies and salt and mix well.
  3. Grease a non-stick pan with some oil. Pour a ladleful of the uttapam batter and spread it thickly.
  4. Sprinkle some sprout mixture over it and let the uttappam cook, when the underside is light golden, flip and cook the other side similarly. Make more uttappam from the remaining batter.
  5. Place them on a serving plate and serve hot with coconut chutney.
