Add grated carrots and sugar and cook for about five minutes. Add milk and continue to cook for six to eight minutes. Add khoya (reduced milk), dates, cashewnuts and green cardamom powder and mix. Cook for ten to fifteen minutes or till almost dry. Serve hot garnished with almond slivers.
