Ingredients list for Funnel Cake
- 4 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup brown sugar/jaggery
- 3 Eggs
- 2 cups Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- for deep-frying Oil
- for dusting Icing sugar
Method
- Sieve together flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add brown sugar and mix.
- Cream eggs, milk and vanilla essence, in another bowl, till light. Fold in the flour mixture till smooth. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Pipe out small discs and deep-fry till golden and crisp all around. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Dust icing sugar on top and serve hot.
