Ingredients list for Farali Chiwda

  • 2-3 Potatoes large wafer
  • ½ cup Raw peanuts
  • 2-3 Green chillies roughly chopped
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Powdered sugar
  • to taste Rock salt (sendha namak)


  1. Peel and grate the potatoes in a bowl filled with water. Set aside for five minutes. Drain excess water and pat dry on a paper towel.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry on low heat till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  3. Deep-fry the peanuts and the green chillies in the same oil. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  4. Mix together the fried potatoes, peanuts, chillies, powdered sugar and rock salt in a bowl.
  5. Serve.
