Ingredients list for Easy-Peasy Tikki

  • 1/2 cup Broken Wheat
  • 1 cup Green Peas
  • 1 Green chilli chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Chaat masala
  • 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 6 cloves Garlic chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • for dusting Cornflour/ corn starch
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Soak the broken wheat in one cup of hot water for half an hour. Drain and put it in a mixer jar. Add the green peas, green chilli, chaat masala, fresh coriander, lemon juice, garlic and salt and grind together.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Divide the mixture into sixteen equal portions and shape them into tikkis. Roll them in cornflour. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai and deep fry the tikkis till light brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
