Ingredients list for Dalia Kheer
- 5 tablespoons Broken wheat (dalia)
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 8-10 Cashewnuts , broken
- 2 1/2 cups Milk
- 3 tablespoons Jaggery powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- a pinch Nutmeg powder
Method
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cashewnuts and saute till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Add broken wheat to the ghee remaining in the cooker and sauté on medium heat for 1 minute. Add milk, jaggery powder, green cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well.
- Add half of fried cashewnuts, cover and pressure cook on high heat for 5-6 minutes.
- Open the cooker when the pressure settles, transfer the kheer into a serving bowl, garnish with the remaining fried cashewnuts and serve hot.
