Ingredients 

  • 1/2  cup whisked yogurt 
  • 4 medium guavas
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder

Method

  1. Remove the seeds and cut the guavas into small pieces. Heat the oil in a non stick kadai; add the asafoetida, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and guavas and stir to mix.
  2. Add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and green chillies. Mix well.
  3. Add the whisked yogurt, salt and garam masala powder and stir to mix.
  4. Cook on medium heat for three to four minutes. Serve hot.
