Ingredients list for Crispy Chicken Legs
- 4-8 Chicken legs
- + for dusting Refined flour (maida) ½ cup
- Melted butter for greasing, brushing and basting
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1 Egg
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ½ cup Bread crumbs
Method
- Pat-dry the chicken legs using an absorbent paper and prick all over using a fork.
- Take chicken in a bowl. Add salt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, paprika powder and dried oregano and mix well. Keep it in the refrigerator to marinate for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 200ºC. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil. Grease with some butter and dust some refined flour.
- Break egg in another bowl, add salt and crushed peppercorns and whisk well.
- Spread ½ cup flour on a plate. Add sugar and salt and mix well.
- Spread breadcrumbs on another plate.
- Coat each marinated chicken leg with flour mixture, dip in egg mixture and coat with breadcrumbs. Place them on the greased baking tray and brush some butter on top.
- Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, baste with some butter and bake again for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot.
