Ingredients list for Christmas Chocolate Walnut Brownie with Hot Fudge
- + for dusting Refined flour (maida) 100 grams
- for greasing Butter 60 grams +
- 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
- 50 grams Walnuts chopped
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
- 130 grams Condensed milk
- 100 millilitres Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 30 grams Chocolate sprinklers
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar/jaggery
- For fudge sauce -
- 20 grams Cocoa powder
- 150 grams Icing sugar
- 50 grams Butter
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla essence
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease an ovenproof dish with little butter and dust with a little flour.
- Sieve together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda into a bowl.
- Cream together butter and condensed milk in another bowl with a hand blender.
- Add sieved ingredients and mix well. Add milk and vanilla essence and mix well. Blend again with the blender into a smooth mixture.
- Add chocolate sprinklers, brown sugar and walnuts reserving some for garnishing. Mix well.
- Transfer mixture into greased dish, sprinkle reserved walnuts on top and put in preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
- To make the sauce, heat butter, icing sugar and cocoa powder in a non-stick pan. Mix well till the ingredients melt. Switch off heat and add vanilla essence. Mix well and set aside.
- Demould brownie, cut into slices and serve with warm fudge sauce.
