Ingredients list for Chocolate Custard Kheer
- 1 cup Dark Chocolate chopped
- 4 teaspoons Rice
- 1 litre + Milk
- 8-10 tablespoons Rice soaked
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoon Almonds blanched, peeled and chopped
- 8-10 tablespoons Fresh cream For garnishing
- For garnis as required Cherries
Method
- Mix together custard powder and 1 cup milk and set aside. Heat remaining milk in a deep non-stick pan, add 2 cups water and rice and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Cook, stirring continuously, for 15-18 minutes or till the rice is completely cooked.
- Add sugar and mix well. Add green cardamom powder and almonds and mix well. Add chocolate and mix well. Add custard mixture, mix and cook, stirring continuously, for 5-6 minutes or till thick.
- Transfer into serving cups. Garnish with fresh cream, top it with cherries and serve.
