Ingredients list for Chocolate Custard Kheer

  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Rice
  • 1 litre + Milk
  • 8-10 tablespoons Rice soaked
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon Almonds blanched, peeled and chopped
  • 8-10 tablespoons Fresh cream For garnishing
  • For garnis as required Cherries


  1. Mix together custard powder and 1 cup milk and set aside. Heat remaining milk in a deep non-stick pan, add 2 cups water and rice and bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Cook, stirring continuously, for 15-18 minutes or till the rice is completely cooked.
  3. Add sugar and mix well. Add green cardamom powder and almonds and mix well. Add chocolate and mix well. Add custard mixture, mix and cook, stirring continuously, for 5-6 minutes or till thick.
  4. Transfer into serving cups. Garnish with fresh cream, top it with cherries and serve.
