Ingredients list for Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream

  • 100 grams Dark chocolate
  • 1½ cups Milk
  • 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • + for greasing Butter ½ cup + 1 tablespoon
  • ¾ cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • ½ cup Walnuts
  • 1 cup Fresh cream
  • 1 cup Chocolate ganache
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar


  1. Preheat oven at 180º C. Grease an eight inch square cake tin with some butter.
  2. Sieve together the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Combine the chocolate and butter in microwave safe bowl and soften in the microwave for a minute.
  4. Beat together the castor sugar, eggs and vanilla essence in another bowl. Add the flour mixture and walnuts and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin, put the tin in the preheated oven and bake for forty-five minutes. Remove from heat, cool, demould and cut into squares.
  6. Blend together the milk, cream, chocolate ganache, powdered sugar and brownie squares till smooth.
  7. Transfer the mixture in an airtight container and refrigerate for eight to ten hours.
  8. Scoop and serve.
