Ingredients list for Chilli Wings
- 8-12 Chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (Mexican red chilli sauce) / red chilli sauce
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 inch Ginger
- 8-9 Garlic cloves
- 3-4 Fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Onion seeds (kalonji)
Method
- Place chicken wings in a bowl, add salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice and mix well. Marinate in a refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.
- Grind together ginger, garlic, mint leaves, olive oil, sriracha sauce/red chilli sauce and brown sugar into a smooth mixture.
- Add ground mixture to the chicken wings and mix well. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours.
- Preheat oven to 200º C.
- Add 1 tsp onion seeds to the marinated chicken and mix well. Place the wings on a baking tray, spread the leftover marinade on top and sprinkle remaining onion seeds on top.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Arrange on a serving plate and serve hot.
