Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Footlong Sandwich-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 2

  • Footlong breads 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Tabasco sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Oil for grilli

  • Mayonnaise 4 tablespoons

  • Mustard sauce 2 tablespoons

  • Tomato ketchup 4 tablespoons

  • Iceberg lettuce torn a few

  • Lollo rosso lettuce torn a few

  • Cucumber slices 10-12

  • Tomato slices 10-12

  • Cheese slices 6

  • French fries to serve

Method

Step 1

Marinate the chicken breasts with salt, crushed peppercorns, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.

Step 2

Heat some oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place marinated chicken breasts in it and grill, turning sides, till fully done and grill marks appear on both sides.

Step 3

Halve the breads horizontally. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, ½ tablespoon mustard sauce and 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup on each half.

Step 4

Place the base halves on serving platters and top with some torn Iceberg and lollo rosso lettuce leaves.

Step 5

Thickly slice grilled chicken breasts and place on the lettuce leaves. Top each base half with 5-6 cucumber slices and 5-6 tomato slices, sprinkle some salt and crushed peppercorns on them and top with 3 cheese slices.

Step 6

Cover with top halves and serve immediately with French fries.
