Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Chop Burger Recipe

  • Chicken kheema 300 grams

  • Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 4-5 large

  • Burger buns 4

  • Oil 2 tablespo for shallow frying

  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chillli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Eggs 3

  • Bread crumbs as required

  • Mint mayo as required

  • Fresh romaine leaves as required

  • Onion slices as required

  • Tomato slices as required


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix, cook for a minute.

Step 2

Add chicken and salt, and sauté on high for 4-5 minutes.

Step 3

Add red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes.

Step 4

Add Tata Sampann Garam Masala and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes and take the pan off the heat. Allow to cool.

Step 5

To make the stuffing, take the potatoes in a large bowl. Add remaining turmeric powder and salt and mix well.

Step 6

Take a portion of the potato mixture, flatten and make a cavity in the centre. Stuff with a portion of the chicken mixture in it and bring the sides to the centre and seal. Gently flatten to shape like a patty.

Step 7

Break in the eggs in another bowl, sprinkle salt and whisk using a fork and set aside. Take bread crumbs in a shallow bowl, sprinkle salt and mix well.

Step 8

Dip each patty into the egg mixture and roll on breadcrumbs. Repeat one more time and dust the extra breadcrumbs.

Step 9

Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick shallow pan, place the patties and shallow fry on all sides till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.

Step 10

Slice the burger bun in half, spread a little mint mayo on the bottom side of the bun, place a few romaine lettuce leaves. Place the prepared patty on top. Place a few onion slices and tomato slices and sprinkle salt. Spread mint mayo on the remaining bun and place it on top of the tomatoes.

Step 11

Insert a toothpick in the centre to secure the burger. Serve immediately.
