By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Chhunda Main Ingredients Raw mangoes, Salt Cuisine Gujarati Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 3-Above Cook time 0-5 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet & Sour Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 6 raw mangoes 1 tablespoon salt 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon cumin seeds 1 tablespoon kashmiri red chilli powder Method Peel and grate mangoes in a bowl. Add salt and mix and set aside for 2 hours. Add turmeric powder and sugar and mix well. Cover tightly with a muslin cloth and keep in the sun for 7 days or till one string consistency is formed. Keep mixing every day. Dry roast cumin seeds till fragrant. Grind to a coarse powder, add to the mangoes along with red chilli powder and mix well. Cover tightly with a muslin cloth and keep in the sun for 1 day.
