Ingredients list for Cheesy Onion and Pepper Sandwich
- 4 Cheese slices
- 1 medium Yellow bell pepper cut into triangles
- 1 medium Red bell pepper cut into triangles
- 1 medium Green capsicum cut into triangles
- 8 Brown bread slices
- 2 teaspoon Butter
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
Method
- Heat a non-stick tawa. Place bread slices on top and toast till evenly done from both sides.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté for a minute.
- Add yellow pepper, red pepper and capsicum. Toss well and sauté on high heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Add salt, herbs, crushed peppercorns and red chilli flakes and toss to mix. Switch off heat.
- Spread a portion of cooked mixture on 4 toasted bread slices and place a cheese slice on each of them.
- Put the prepared slices on a non-stick tawa and let the cheese melt.
- Remove from heat and cover with the remaining toasted bread slices.
- Cut into triangles and serve immediately.
