Ingredients
- 1 cup chicken boiled and shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 8 Brown bread slices
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 green chilli chopped
- ½ medium onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon refined flour
- 1 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon crushed black peppercorns
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add green chilli and onion and sauté for 2 minutes. Add refined flour and sauté for 1 minute. Add milk and mix well to avoid lumps.
- Add ½ cup cheese, shredded chicken, salt, crushed black peppercorns and mix well. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- Preheat a sandwich griller.
- Apply butter on bread slices and top it with a portion of the chicken mixture. Sprinkle some of the remaining mozzarella cheese on each slice and cover with another buttered bread slice.
- Apply some butter on both sides of the sandwiches, place them on the griller and grill the sandwiches for 5 minutes or till grill marks appear on both sides.
- Cut each sandwich in half, arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
