Ingredients list for Cheese Stuffed Olives
- 20-24 Green olives pitted
- 1/4 cup Processed cheese grated
- for deep-frying Oil
- 2 tablespoons Cream cheese
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 5-6 Garlic cloves chopped
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 cup Bread crumbs
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Combine processed cheese, cream cheese, salt, mixed herbs, chilli flakes and garlic in a bowl and mix well.
- Stuff the olives with the cheese mixture.
- Break the egg in a bowl, add a few drops of water and beat well. Spread the flour and breadcrumbs on two separate plates.
- Coat the stuffed olives with flour, dip in beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumbs. Dip them once again in beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Slide them into hot oil and deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot.
