Ingredients list for Bunny Buns
- 4 Brown bread buns
- 400 grams Chicken cut into small cubes
- 1 tablespo Oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 cup Tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs
- 3-4 + a fe Basil leaves
Method
- Scoop out the burger buns from the top to make a cavity, keeping the base intact. Break the scooped out bread into small pieces and set aside.
- Heat little oil on a non-stick tawa. Place prepared buns on it and toast on low heat till their base turns crisp. Turn and toast on the other side as well.
- Heat one tablespoon oil in a non-stick wok, add onion and sauté for a minute. Add garlic and sauté for a minute.
- Add chicken, mix well and cook. Add salt, mix well and cook till the chicken is half done.
- Add tomato puree, mix well and cook further. Add dried herbs.
- Roughly chop three to four basil leaves and add in the pan and mix. Add the bread trimmings, mix well and cook for a minute.
- Fill the cavities in the buns with the chicken mixture and press lightly.
- Garnish with basil strips and serve hot.
