Corn was indigenous to America, but is now grown throughout the world. It is used as a vegetable, briefly boiled or roasted or eaten with butter. And it would also interest you to know that the favourite popcorn, made by popping the small corn kernels, is a wholesome cereal food and is easily digested. Besides this, corn sees its use in various other ways – salads, soups, subzis and even sweets too!

Prep Time : 11-15 minutes

Cook time : 6-10 minutes

Serve : 6

Ingredients for Babycorn Snack Recipe

  • Babycorns roasted 5-6

  • Rice flour 1 teaspoon

  • Gram flour (besan) roasted 1 teaspoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns crushed 2 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Marinate the baby corns with rice flour, roasted gram flour, cornflour, crushed black pepper, salt and red chilli powder.

Step 2

Keep it aside for fifteen minutes.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non kadai and deep fry the baby corns till golden brown.

Step 4

Serve hot.
