Apple and Walnut Raita The perfect combination of caramelized apple and walnut mixed with creamy yogurt and spices. By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Apr 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Apple and Walnut Raita Main Ingredients Apple, Walnut Cuisine Indian Course Raitas Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 medium apple peeled and cut into small cubes 10-12 walnut broken 2 cups yogurt 3 tablespoons sugar 1 tbsp + 1 chaat masala 1 teaspoon rose water Salt to taste 1 teaspoon oil a pinch asafoetida 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 10-12 fresh mint leaves Roasted cumin powder to sprinkle Method Mix together yogurt, sugar, 1 tbsp chaat masala and whisk well. Add rose water and salt and mix well. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add asafoetida, apple and toss. Add walnuts and sauté till the apples are lightly caramelized. Add red chilli powder and remaining chaat masala and toss. Transfer into a bowl. Add mint leaves, 1 cup yogurt and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl. Add the remaining yogurt. Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and garnish with a walnut. Serve.
