Ingredients list for Apple and Sitaphal Barfi

  • 3-4 medium Apple peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 medium Custard Apple pulp removed
  • 2 tbsps + Ghee
  • 1½ cups Khoya/mawa grated
  • 1 cup Condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 6-7 Pistachios blanched and sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder


  1. Grease a barfi tray with some ghee.
  2. Heat 2 tbsps ghee in a non-stick pan, add apple and sauté till they turn soft.
  3. Add khoya, condensed milk, sugar, pistachios and cardamom powder, mix well and cook for 6-8 minutes or till the mixture thickens.
  4. Reduce heat, add custard apple pulp, mix well and cook for ½ minute.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the greased tray and spread evenly. Refrigerate till set.
  6. Cut into your choice of shape and serve.
