Ingredients list for Apple and Sitaphal Barfi
- 3-4 medium Apple peeled and finely chopped
- 2 medium Custard Apple pulp removed
- 2 tbsps + Ghee
- 1½ cups Khoya/mawa grated
- 1 cup Condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 6-7 Pistachios blanched and sliced
- ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Grease a barfi tray with some ghee.
- Heat 2 tbsps ghee in a non-stick pan, add apple and sauté till they turn soft.
- Add khoya, condensed milk, sugar, pistachios and cardamom powder, mix well and cook for 6-8 minutes or till the mixture thickens.
- Reduce heat, add custard apple pulp, mix well and cook for ½ minute.
- Transfer the mixture into the greased tray and spread evenly. Refrigerate till set.
- Cut into your choice of shape and serve.
