Ingredients list for Apple Meethe Chawal

  • 1 cup Basmati rice soaked and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups Apple juice
  • 1/2 cup Apples peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins
  • 8-10 Cashewnuts roughly chopped
  • 8-10 Almonds roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Walnuts roughly chopped
  • 3-4 Seedless dates roughly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. add basmati rice, apple juice and mix well. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Dry roast dried fruits in another non-stick pan.
  3. Add water as required to the rice and mix well. Simmer for a few minutes. Add cardamom powder, roasted dried fruits & apples. Cook till the rice is done .
  4. Serve hot.
