Apple Halwa - SK Khazana The good old Halwa made with fresh red and green apples, loaded with dried nuts makes for an amazing dessert after a heavy meal. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 May 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Red apples, Green apples Cuisine Indian,Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Apple Halwa - SK Khazana 2 medium Red apples grated 2 medium Green apples grated 2 tablespoons Ghee 1/2 cup Sugar Saffron a pinch of 2 tablespoons Almonds slivered + for garnish 2 tablespoons Pistachios blanched, peeled and slivered + for garnish 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1/2 cup Khoya grated Method Heat ghee in a non-stick wok, add grated apples and saute for 8-10 minutes or till almost all the moisture reduces. Add sugar and saffron, mix well and cook till the sugar dissolves completely and moisture evaporates. Add almonds, pistachios, green cardamom powder, khoya and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes or till the khoya mixes well with the apple mixture. Take the pan off the heat.
