Ingredients list for Aloo Tuk

  • 12 Baby Potatoes
  • for deep-frying Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dry mango powder (amchur)
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Clean potatoes well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai on medium heat.
  2. Prick potatoes with a fork and slide into the oil and deep fry.
  3. Place chaat masala, red chilli powder, dried mango powder, coriander powder and salt in a small bowl and mix well.
  4. When the potatoes are cooked, drain them on tissue paper.
  5. Press lightly with the back of a spoon.
  6. Heat oil again and fry potatoes again till crisp and golden.
  7. Drain on tissue paper. Place potatoes in a bowl, sprinkle the masala mixture and toss. Serve immediately.
