Ingredients list for Aloo Aur Shakkarkand Ke Kabab
- 2 medium Potato boiled and peeled
- 2 medium Sweet Potato boiled and peeled
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- as required Green chutney
- as required Sweet date and tamarind chutney
Method
- Heat a little oil on a non stick grill pan. Cut potatoes into 1 inch cubes and place them in a bowl.
- Cut sweet potatoes into 1 inch cubes and place them into another bowl. Sprinkle salt over both.
- Add ¼ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp roasted cumin powder, ¼ tsp black salt and 1 tbsp oil to each bowl and mix.
- Thread sweet potatoes and potatoes alternately onto satay sticks.
- Place the satay sticks on the grill pan and cook rotating the sticks.
- Baste with butter and cook till lightly golden.
- Remove onto a serving plate, drizzle green chutney and sweet chutney over the kababs and serve hot.
